According to the publisher, “In this novel, Lancaster, who has been hailed as ‘one of Montana’s most important writers,’ goes deep into how history shapes and confines us and how hope sometimes stubbornly abides.”

His work has been honored by the Montana Book Awards, the Utah Book Awards, the Independent Publisher Book Awards, the International Book Awards, the American Fiction Awards as well as many other citations.
