Entertainment

A/V, Bands, Bars, Theaters

Live theater awaits you at both The Shane Center for the Arts and the Blue Slipper Theatre. Take in the lastest movies at the Empire Twin Theater on 2nd St. or enjoy special run films at the Danforth Gallery and the Livingston Film Festival. Check our EVENTS page for a variety of events and listings of live local music and well known country music performers playing at Music Ranch Montana. Adults can also find a variety of “watering holes” with gaming machines around town for their enjoyment.

During the Summer: walk about downtown and visit the galleries during the Livingston Art Walk on the fourth Fridays of June through September. Also during summer months, enjoy the Farmers’ Market in Miles Park every Wednesday night from 4:30 to 7:30 pm.

At Sacajawea Park the children can play at Pompey’s Playground while you enjoy tennis or horseshoes. The lagoon provides hours of afternoon fishing for children or take a walk on the path along the river. Use the gazebo under the trees for a special picnic gathering. The City Pool is also open to the public during the summer. For year-round classes, activities, kids’ programs, in-door roller skating and winter ice skating, call the City Recreation Dept. at 406-222-8551. For more adventure, rent a raft and float the Yellowstone from Carter’s Bridge to Mayors Landing.
